What we measure

Air, noise and lead

Air

We sample the air your workers breathe, using small pumps they wear during a normal shift, and have the samples analysed by an accredited lab.

  • Indoor air quality (VOCs, CO2, humidity)

Noise

We measure how much noise each worker is exposed to over a shift and map the loudest areas, so you can choose the right controls and hearing protection.

How a workplace assessment works

Most assessments follow the same five steps, from your first call to the final report.

From enquiry to recommendations

    First call

    We talk through the hazards, the controls you already have and why you need the assessment. A fixed-fee quote follows.

  2. 2

    On-site monitoring

    We sample the air or measure noise on workers and in work areas during a typical shift.

  3. 3

    Lab analysis

    Samples such as dust, lead and welding fume are analysed by IANZ-accredited partner laboratories, with a documented chain of custody.

  4. 4

    Report

    We compare the results with WorkSafe's exposure standards and other relevant guidelines, and explain what they mean.

  5. 5

    Recommendations and re-testing

    Practical steps to reduce exposure, starting with the most effective controls, and follow-up testing to confirm they work.
