Why Our Qualifications Matter
Getting a mould's name right takes skill and care. Our analysts are trained and certified in mould microscopy by bodies that are recognised around the world.
McCrone Research Institute
The McCrone Research Institute in Chicago is one of the world's leading schools for microscopy. Its mould course covers advanced microscope techniques, identifying spores by their shape, and telling similar species apart.
AIOH Membership
The Australian Institute of Occupational Hygienists (AIOH) is the professional body for occupational hygiene in Australia and New Zealand. Our team are members of the AIOH (MAIOH), so we interpret results with health and safety in mind, not just the lab numbers.
ASTM Test Methods
All our tests follow ASTM methods, which are used around the world, so results are consistent and hold up for insurance claims, legal matters and remediation plans. We rate results against ANSI/IICRC S520-2024, the professional mould remediation standard.
ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001
Scaada is certified to three ISO standards: ISO 9001 for quality, ISO 14001 for the environment, and ISO 45001 for health and safety. Our certifier is Global Compliance Certification, which is accredited by JAS-ANZ. These standards cover how we run the business: consistent quality, care for the environment and safe work.
Our Laboratory
Our mould lab in Hamilton uses research-grade microscopes to identify mould and measure how much there is. We accept samples by overnight courier from anywhere in New Zealand, from Auckland to Dunedin, and send the results back electronically. Every analysis is carried out by McCrone-trained analysts using internationally recognised ASTM methods.
Analysis Standards
